We understand that it can be overwhelming on making the right decisions for your group when it comes to creating that perfect day or multiple days. We thought it might be helpful to see the types of experiences we can put together – feel free to copy this and schedule yourself or use as a reference when discussing options with our team member prior to your arrival!
A day of Cabernet
Start your day with a pick up at 9:30 from your lodging.
10 am – Alpha Omega VIP tasting experience – This amazing property boasts some of the most profound reserve cabernet available. The VIP single vineyard tasting is paired with cheeses and occurs in a private room. This experience is always at the top of our list. You can expect the timing to go roughly 90 minutes
12:00 – Chappellet Winery Tour & Tasting – Located on Pritchard Hill, Chappellet is considered one of the landmark wineries producing quality wines since the 80’s. You will enjoy a vineyard tour and cave experience in order to understand the wine making and grape growing process in addition to tasting some of their amazing world class wines. This experiences lasts approximately 75 minutes.
1:45 – Lunch at Farmstead St Helena – It’s always important to stay nourished!
3:00 – Heitz Cellars – this is a walk-in friendly winery who does not charge tasting fees to experience Bordeaux style cabernets while you enjoy the beautiful views from their back shaded veranda
Various Appellation Tasting
Start your day with a pick up at 9:30 from your lodging.
10 am – Porter Family Vineyards – Coombsville – This unique cave tasting experience showcases the amazing wines produced in the Coombsville appellation, while learning about the family and their passion for making great wines
12:00 – Trefethen Family – Located in the Oak Knoll disctrict, Trefethen has a long-standing history of producing amazing bordeaux style reds and blends. The amazing family owned and operated winery teaches you about the history of their family farming practices while displaying/tasting some of their amazing old world style wines.
1:30 – Lunch at Bottega Napa Valley –
3:00 – Pina Cellars – Located in the Rutherford Appellation, this is a walk-in friendly winery with a rustic tasting that occurs in their barrel/tank room. Nothing fancy here, other than amazing wines produced by 4th generation vineyard management family.
4:15 – Turnbull – Located in the Oakville Appellation, this wonderful small producer has an amazing photo gallery along with remarkable wines that spread the gamut between Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon
Food and Wine Pairing Excursion
Pick up time will be determined based on your lodging location.
10 am – B Cellars – Oakville Trek – Greeted on arrival courtyard at the Hospitality House, guests are escorted through the culinary gardens, production facilities and wine caves, glass-in-hand. Following their tour, guests partake in a custom, culinary pairing designed by the B Cellars in-house Chef artfully paired with a combination of their Flagship blended and Limited Production wines. Each tasting is accompanied by a seasonal “B-Bites” prepared à la last minute.
12:00 – Davis Estates – Calistoga – Davis Estates is a newer winery producing amazing wines. The tasting room sits atop a knoll overlooking part of Northern St Helena and Calistoga appellation vineyards. The friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere lend to the overall experience, but the food and wine pairing really showcase how splendidly wine and food react with each other
2:00 – Handwritten Farmhouse Charcuterie tasting – Handwritten wines has partnered with Small Table Farms to create an incredibly unique experience at a personal residence/farmhouse. Enjoy these high caliber wines paired with food sourced either directly from the farm (such as the hand crafted goat cheese from Marshmallow the goat) to locally cured meats from local artisans.
** since these experiences have food at each stop, we do not feel that it’s necessary to stop for lunch – however, if your group would like to grab appetizers and a cocktail at AuBerge du Soleil, who are we to say no? 🙂
